Whisking Up Wonders in Week 3!
Our little chefs were back in action for their third culinary adventure! Armed with their trusty toddler-safe knives, they bravely tackled the mighty carrots and the elusive onions, practicing their cutting, dicing, and slicing skills with focused determination.
It was a true feast for the senses as they embarked on a tactile and aromatic exploration of fresh vegtables. Their little noses sniffed the pungent garlic, their fingers felt the textures of the carrots and onions, and they used their sight and taste buds to truly get acquainted with these kitchen heroes.
Next, it was time to conjure up some magic. They eagerly tossed in the prepared ingredients, joining forces with vibrant tomatoes, a splash of water, and a pinch of fragrant basil to create the base of our simmering sauce. Under Eilis's watchful eye, they took turns stirring the bubbling brew, their ears listening intently to the cheerful plop, plop, sizzle of the sauce.
To pass the time until the sauce was perfect, Eilis transported them into a world of imagination with a captivating story. Then, the grand finale: adding the pasta to complete our masterpiece!
